My Great Aunt Bergy was Norwegian and kept a magnet on her fridge with a list of examples for the use of uff da. She was the only person I ever heard use the term, until the 22nd of this month, which was also the day she passed on. Rest in peace Bergy. Beth - Seattle, WA
